Biodance Real Deep Masks: Bio-Collagen vs Hydro Cera-nol vs Caviar PDRN, and How to Use Them Overnight

"You've probably seen it: a milky mask that slowly turns completely clear while someone sleeps in it. That's Biodance's Real Deep Mask, one of the most-shared K-beauty products of the last few years. But there are now three versions, plus gel toner pads, and they're made for different skin. I've used all five for several weeks. Here is what each one does, who it suits, and how to get the overnight result without wasting a mask."

The short answer: which Biodance product should you start with?

Dry or dull skin that wants glow? The Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask. Red, sensitive or barrier-damaged skin? The Hydro Cera-nol Real Deep Mask. Mature skin that wants firmness and richness? The Rejuvenating Caviar PDRN Real Deep Mask. Want the effect every day rather than once a week? The matching gel toner pads. All five are fragrance-free, alcohol-free, dermatologically-tested and pregnancy-friendly.

A hydrogel, not a sheet

Real Deep Masks are made of solidified essence rather than fabric soaked in it, so they don't dry out and pull moisture back from the skin.

The transparency effect

The mask starts milky and turns clear over several hours as it releases its essence: the visual that made it famous.

Last step, long wear

Unlike most masks, it goes on after your moisturizer and stays on for three to four hours or overnight.

How I tested. Each mask at least three times on my combination skin, worn overnight, with a photo in the same light before and the next morning; the toner pads daily for two weeks each. Browse the full range in Facial Masks, or compare masking formats in sheet masks vs overnight masks.

"My skin looks tired and flat, or it's red and stinging. Which mask?"

Biodance Bio-Collagen vs Hydro Cera-nol Real Deep Mask

The two everyday favourites in the range. Bio-Collagen is about hydration and glow; Hydro Cera-nol is about calming and barrier repair. If you're unsure, ask yourself whether your skin looks dull or feels irritated.

Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask

The original: low-molecular collagen, oligo-hyaluronic acid and galactomyces ferment in a hydrogel that turns clear overnight and leaves skin plump and glassy by morning.

Collagen extract, galactomyces ferment filtrate and oligo-hyaluronic acid hydrate and add glow, while probiotic ferments support the skin's comfort. Worn overnight, it gave me the most visible morning-after difference of any mask I've tested: plumper, smoother skin that made makeup look better all day. Available singly or in packs of four. Fragrance-free, alcohol-free, dermatologically-tested, pregnancy-friendly and made with clean ingredients.

Best for: dry, combination and normal skin; dullness and dehydration; the night before an event.Less suited to: very oily or breakout-prone skin overnight (wear it for three hours instead); vegan routines.

Editor’s tip: It's the mask I use the night before photos. Keep it for big days and it feels like a treat rather than a routine.

Biodance Hydro Cera-nol Real Deep Mask

The calming version: ceramides, panthenol and oligo-hyaluronic acid for red, tight or barrier-damaged skin, with a noticeable cooling effect.

Biodance's Cera-nol blend pairs ceramides with panthenol and oligo-hyaluronic acid to support a weakened barrier and calm redness, alongside the same ferments as the Bio-Collagen mask. On skin that had reacted to a new active, a night in this mask took the heat and tightness out more than any cream. Fragrance-free, alcohol-free, dermatologically-tested, pregnancy-friendly and made with clean ingredients.

Best for: sensitive, dry and normal skin; redness and tightness; recovery after actives, sun or wind.Less suited to: anyone mainly chasing glow on healthy skin; the Bio-Collagen mask is more dramatic.

Editor’s tip: After a ski day or a retinol overshoot, this is the one to reach for.

"My skin has lost its bounce, and I want something richer than a hydration mask."

Biodance Rejuvenating Caviar PDRN Real Deep Mask

The newest and most nourishing of the three, built around PDRN, caviar extract and collagen for mature or very dry skin.

Biodance Rejuvenating Caviar PDRN Real Deep Mask

Caviar water and extract, PDRN and low-molecular collagen in the richest Real Deep Mask: for skin that wants nourishment and bounce, not just water.

The base is caviar water rather than plain water, with caviar and salmon egg extracts, PDRN and collagen for a richer, more nourishing feel than the other two masks. On my drier winter cheeks it left skin noticeably softer and bouncier the next morning. Fragrance-free, alcohol-free, dermatologically-tested, pregnancy-friendly and made with clean ingredients.

Best for: normal, combination and dry skin; loss of firmness; mature skin; winter.Less suited to: oily or breakout-prone skin; fish-free routines.

Editor’s tip: Wear it for at least three to four hours. What PDRN does, and doesn't, is explained in our PDRN guide.

Biodance Gel Toner Pads: Collagen vs Cera-nol

The pads bring each mask's formula into a daily step: swipe after cleansing, or leave on for five to ten minutes as a mini mask. Choose the same way as the masks: Collagen for glow, Cera-nol for calm.

Biodance Collagen Gel Toner Pads (60 pads)

Gel-coated pads with low-molecular collagen, peptides and hyaluronic acid: the daily version of the Bio-Collagen mask.

Each pad carries a gel essence with collagen, a peptide complex, hyaluronic acid and galactomyces ferment. Swiped after cleansing it preps skin; laid on the cheeks for ten minutes it gives a quick plumping boost before makeup. Fragrance-free, alcohol-free, dermatologically-tested, pregnancy-friendly and made with clean ingredients.

Best for: normal, combination and dry skin; daily glow; a quick mini mask.Less suited to: very sensitive skin; choose the Cera-nol pads.

Editor’s tip: Two pads on the cheeks while you make coffee is the fastest pre-makeup glow I know.

Biodance Cera-nol Gel Toner Pads (60 pads)

Cooling gel pads with five ceramides and panthenol: the daily version of the Cera-nol mask for red, sensitive skin.

A gel essence with a five-ceramide complex and panthenol calms redness and supports the barrier, and the gel pad stays cool on the skin. In hard-water areas, the swipe also lifts the residue tap water leaves behind. Fragrance-free, alcohol-free, dermatologically-tested, pregnancy-friendly and made with clean ingredients.

Best for: sensitive, dry and normal skin; redness; daily barrier care.Less suited to: oily skin wanting exfoliation or oil control from a pad.

Editor’s tip: Keep the jar in the fridge in summer; the cooling effect is noticeably stronger.

How to use a Biodance Real Deep Mask overnight

The order is the opposite of most masks, and getting it right makes the difference between a good result and a wasted mask.

1. Full routine first

Cleanse, toner, serum and moisturizer as usual. Let the moisturizer absorb for a few minutes.

2. Bottom half first

Peel the films, apply the lower half from the chin up, then the upper half, smoothing out air bubbles.

3. Leave it on

At least three to four hours, or overnight. It's done when it has turned clear.

4. Pat, don't rinse

Remove in the morning and pat any remaining essence into the skin. Rinsing is optional.

Your Biodance Questions, Answered

How long, how often, and which one for your skin.

Can I really sleep in a Biodance mask?

Yes, that is how it's designed to be used. Because it's a hydrogel, it doesn't dry out and pull moisture back from the skin like a fabric sheet mask. If your skin is oily or breakout-prone, three to four hours may suit you better than a full night.

How often should I use a Biodance mask?

Once or twice a week is plenty for most people, or the night before an event. For a daily dose of the same ingredients, use the matching gel toner pads.

Does the mask turning clear mean it has been absorbed?

It shows the hydrogel has released its essence onto the skin over the hours you've worn it, which is why it's a handy timer. It isn't a measure of how deeply anything penetrated.

Which Biodance mask is best for sensitive skin?

The Hydro Cera-nol Real Deep Mask, with ceramides and panthenol for calm and barrier support, and the matching Cera-nol Gel Toner Pads for daily use.

Are Biodance masks pregnancy-friendly?

All five Biodance products in this guide carry our Pregnancy-Friendly highlight and are fragrance-free and alcohol-free. Always confirm your routine with your doctor or midwife.
