Which Korean Sunscreen Is Right for Your Skin Type? Every SPF We Stock, Matched to Dry, Combination, Oily and Sensitive Skin
"The best sunscreen is the one you'll actually wear every morning, and that comes down to texture. Ask ten people with oily skin and you'll hear the same complaints: shiny by noon, pills under foundation, stings the eyes. Dry skin has the opposite problem. I've worn every Korean sunscreen we stock for at least two weeks, on my combination skin with an oily T-zone, and sorted them by the skin type they suit best."
The short answer: your sunscreen match
Dry: a creamy, moisturizing SPF. Combination: a watery gel. Oily: a fresh, sebum-controlling cream or a matte stick. Sensitive or breakout-prone: a soothing sun serum. Whatever your type, use two finger-lengths for face and neck as the last step of your morning routine.
Dewy finish
Creamy, glowy formulas. Lovely on dry skin, can feel shiny on oily skin.
Watery or gel
Light and fast-absorbing. The safest bet for combination skin and under makeup.
Matte or fresh
Sebum-absorbing powders or light creams for oily T-zones.
Sun serum
The thinnest texture, often with soothing ingredients. Good for sensitive skin.

Your Korean Sunscreen Questions, Answered
White cast, makeup and how much to use.
Do Korean sunscreens leave a white cast?
The ones in this guide use modern filters and are designed to go on clear, so they generally leave no white cast, even on deeper skin tones.
Can my sunscreen replace my morning moisturizer?
On normal or oily skin, a hydrating sunscreen like the Relief Sun often can. Dry skin usually still needs a moisturizer underneath.
How much sunscreen should I use?
About two finger-lengths for face and neck. Most people use half that, which gives far less protection than the label.
Why does my sunscreen pill?
Usually too many layers underneath, or not waiting for them to absorb. Use fewer, lighter layers and wait a minute before sunscreen.
